1. Дорогу М6 в советское время "Голодной дорогой" прозвали. Мало там населенных пунктов и сервиса было.

2. Баландой (по реке) еще до 1962 года звали город Калининск. Местные жители были не в восторге, вероятно, от исторического названия.
